Disney News- Week of June 7, 2021

With the summer crowds beginning to descend on the Orlando-area theme parks, plenty of news has come out of the parks this week.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort Reopening

Disney’s Beach Club Resort reopened on May 30th. Prior to this, the resort was only open for villa guests staying in the DVC part of the resort. The resort is now fully open and operational and offers some much-needed additional accommodation in the Epcot resort area.

Disney After Hours Boo Bash

This Halloween, Disney is holding an after-hours event entitled the Disney After Hours Boo Bash. This week, Disney announced the ticket prices, dates, and sales dates, as well as what we can expect from this upcoming special event. The event will take place on select dates between August 10 and October 31 in the Magic Kingdom, and tickets start at $129 per adult. Disney Cruise Line News

If you’ve been planning to add a Disney Cruise Line voyage to your upcoming trip, it’s an exciting time for Disney Cruise Line fans. The company has now been approved to conduct a simulation sailing starting on June 29th from Port Canaveral. The Disney Dream will participate in a two-night test sailing with volunteers to test out their new health and safety regulations, paving the way for sailings to start again in the US.

Tusker House Reopening

Another dining location will reopen in Disney’s Animal Kingdom on June 20th. Tusker House will welcome diners back with a family-style, African-themed character experience, which can be booked from June 4th.

Club Level Lounges

At Walt Disney World, Club Level lounges will begin reopening from June 4th. Club Level rooms and suites are now available for booking, with opening dates varying as Disney takes a phased approach when reopening this service.

Canada Far and Wide Closure

In Epcot’s Canada Pavilion, Canada Far and Wide, the current Circle-Vision 360 film is closing for the foreseeable future. No further details have been announced about when or if it will reopen at this current time.

Jungle Cruise Additions

The Jungle Cruise has welcomed some new additions to the attraction this week in Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Keep your eyes peeled next time you are on the ride for these new elements and exciting updates.
