Trick or Treat: A Sweet Disney Halloween 2021

Disney Halloween 2021

Knock, knock, knock… It’s the sweetest time of the year… a Disney Halloween. From spooky eats to not-so-scary parties, the parks host a ton for families to enjoy. In the midst of the pandemic, Disney details have thrown us all for a loop. We have the most up-to-date information and we’re excited to share it with you. This article lists the parks, their respective Disney Halloween events, and all the best things to do, see, and eat at the happiest place on earth.

Walt DisneyWorld

Disney After Hours Boo Bash

Disney After Hours Boo Bash is held at the infamous Magic Kingdom from August 10th through October 31st from 9 p.m. to midnight. This event is replacing Mickey’s Not-Scary Halloween Party this year due to the pandemic. Visitors get to trick or treat throughout the magical park, including those with allergies. They can enjoy sightings of all the characters (say hi to Goofy for us) and unlimited soda, water, ice cream, and popcorn included in the cost of the ticket.

Disney After Hours Boo Bash is held for three hours after the park closes. That means less time waiting in line for rides. Music to our (Mickey) ears! Head to the Haunted Mansion and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror to scare you into the Disney World Halloween Spirit.

Disneyland

Halloween Time

No matter the weather, Fall comes early for a Disney Halloween. Halloween Time is celebrated at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park from September 3rd through October 31st. The parks are transformed with magical fall colors, pumpkins, and seasonal treats. Each park hosts its unique events during this time.

Halloween Screams

It’s our favorite Disney Villains’ time to shine at the Halloween Screams event from September 3rd through October 31st. Jack Skellington and his sidekick, his ghostly dog Zero, open the show introducing his fellow Villains, Maleficent and Ursula, as they burst into Halloween-inspired song and dance. Fireworks fill the skies on certain nights. We suggest checking the Entertainment Schedule prior to your trip.

Disney’s California Adventure Park

Oogie Boogie Bash

Oogie Boogie is ready to welcome you back with ghostly arms. The event runs September 9th through October 31st from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Visitors come face to face with Oogie Boogie himself, along with Maleficent, when exploring the Treat Trails while collecting spooky-themed treats and enjoying the holiday decor and music.

You can’t miss the Frightfully Fun Parade featuring Mickey, Minnie, and the gang of Disney Villains decked out in Halloween costumes. It begins with the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow and his eerie Jack-O-Lantern and leaves onlookers in awe as it takes on a life of its own.

Plaza de la Familia

Experience the Academy Award-winning film, Coco, come to life at Plaza de la Familia from September 3 through November 2nd. It’s no secret we all shed a tear while watching the film, but don’t worry, this is a joyful Mexican celebration of everlasting bonds of family. Mexican music, food, and art transform the Paradise Gardens for a day of family fun.

Halloween season is generally a less crowded time to book a Disney Vacation. In our book, nothing is better than a short wait time at your favorite ride. The fall weather and seasonal treats are calling the name of Disney lovers of all ages. Be sure to research and plan ahead by booking your theme park reservations in advance.
