One of our favorite parts of heading to Disneyland for our family is the food! If you follow our instagram pages, you’ll notice that food is definitely a theme, haha. Today we are highlighting one of our favorite character dining experiences at Disneyland Park, Minnie & Friends Breakfast at Plaza Inn!
Located at the end of Main Street, on the corner facing Sleeping Beauty’s castle, you’ll find the cutest restaurant/Inn where Minnie herself welcomes you with a photo op.
After you check in, you’ll find your seats and head on over to the buffet. There is a large selection to choose from including breakfast staples, such as Mickey waffles, french toast, bacon, breakfast potatoes, biscuits and gravy, baked pastries and breads, fruit, sausages, scrambled eggs, cold drinks and my favorite, their hot chocolate (I’m really not sure what they put in their hot chocolate, but it’s nothing short of magical).
During your meal, a short parade of characters come out to say hello every 20 minutes or so. You can give hugs, take pictures and have those extra opportunities to interact with the characters. We saw, Daisy, Chip & Dale, Pluto, Goofy and Winnie the Pooh!
During the holiday season it can get a bit chilly, but even if you end up being seated on the terrace, there are space heaters to keep you warm. We were a little concerned being put out there while it was very rainy on Christmas morning with 4 kids, but it worked out! We were dry and warm:)
Would we recommend this restaurant? If you love a good breakfast and want to splurge on a great opportunity to get great character interactions, then you have to try it at least once.
How to make reservations:
Dining reservations open up 60 days prior to your chosen dining day and can be booked directly on the Disneyland app or the website. These go quick so definitely have a plan to get up early to grab them or be sure your Briar & Main travel designer has it on their list to do for you!

Lunch/Dinner Menu: ($15 to $34.99 per adult)
Breakfast Menu: ($35-$59.99/adult)-Character Dining is only available during breakfast
