Hotel Corallo in Sorrento, Italy, is a 4-star hotel located on a clifftop overlooking the Bay of Naples. It offers breathtaking views, elegant accommodations, and warm Italian hospitality. Le Sirenuse in Positano, Italy, is a glamorous and luxurious boutique hotel. It offers stunning views of the Amalfi Coast, impeccable service, and a refined Mediterranean charm.
Belmond Hotel Caruso is a 5-star hotel nestled in the hills of Ravello, Italy. It’s been featured in films like “Under the Tuscan Sun” and “The Talented Mr. Ripley.” It’s a luxurious hotel that offers guests the opportunity to experience the best of Italian culture and cuisine.
Now, onto the itinerary. Although we’ll be using Hotel Corallo in Sorrento as our base, rest assured that these activities can be enjoyed from various locations along the Amalfi Coast.
Day 1 on the Amalfi Coast
Arrive at the Naples International Airport and get transportation to Sorrento. For clients, we can arrange a private transfer. There is also an approx. 40-minute train available. After you’ve checked into your hotel, spend the day exploring Sorrento’s historic center. You’ll find a maze of narrow streets and alleyways, lined with shops, restaurants, and cafes. The Italian charm is just as colorful as you see in photos. Be sure to visit Piazza Tasso, the main square in Sorrento, and the Duomo, the city’s cathedral. There are plenty of great restaurants with fresh seafood and beautiful views, Bagni Delfino is a local favorite.
Day 2
Spend the day on a boat tour to take in the Sorrento Coast, Capri, and Blue Grotto. All tour itineraries will vary, but in this case, begin cruising along the Sorrento Coast admiring the stunning views and sites like the ancient fishermen village of Marina Grande. Once you get to Capri, you’ll see many of the iconic attractions like the Blue Grotto and Faraglion Rocks by boat. Then you’ll explore the island by land. Once you’ve had your taste of limoncello (especially refreshing on a hot day), return to Sorrento and enjoy a leisurely dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 3
Grab breakfast and get ready for a beautiful drive along the Amalfi Coast, winding through picturesque cliffside roads. Make a stop in the charming town of Maiori, known for its laid-back atmosphere, beautiful beaches, and lemons. If you’ve already tried the limoncello, the lemon cake is next on your list. Return to Sorrento and enjoy another leisurely dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 4
Grab breakfast and enjoy a day of exploration. If you love the outdoors, Sentiero degli Dei, or the Path of the Gods, is a challenging but rewarding hike that takes you through the hills and valleys of the Sorrentine Peninsula. Other options for exploration are visiting one of the many lemon groves or relaxing by the beach. In the evening, take a cooking class to learn how to make traditional Amalfi Coast dishes from a local chef. Then, enjoy the delicious fruits of your labor.
Day 5
Say a bittersweet goodbye to paradise. Transfer back to the Naples International Airport to catch your flight home.
