Disneyland offers so many great dining options, both inside the parks and in the resorts and Downtown Disney area. If you’re planning your next trip it can be hard to choose between so many great dining options! We’re here today to give you our top five recommendations for Disneyland Restaurants.
- Blue Bayou in Disneyland Park
Overlooking the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, this is an immersive and unique restaurant open for lunch and dinner. With a varied menu of Cajun and Creole-inspired dishes, this is the perfect spot for a first-time visitor to Disneyland or to celebrate a special occasion. Whilst you are sipping on a Mint Julep watch guests float by in their boats, in this restaurant’s relaxed atmosphere.
- Lamplight Lounge in Disney’s California Adventure
Any Pixar fan is bound to love this spot, open for lunch, dinner and even brunch at the weekends. This gastropub-style venue celebrates the creativity and talent of the Pixar animators and offers a relaxed dining location with a spectacular waterfront view. Offering a seated dining room and a more relaxed bar area, the cocktails (and non-alcoholic options) are Instagram worthy and not to be missed. To drink we recommend The Sequel (alcoholic) or Infinity Fizz (Alcohol-free) and to eat the Potato Skins and Lobster Nachos are not to be missed.
- Carthay Circle Restaurant at Disney’s California Adventure
Located near the entrance of Disney’s California Adventure park, this Art Deco themed building offers Southern Californian dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. Offering lunch and dinner service, the menu has extensive options for starters and entrees and is the perfect place to dine with family and friends for a break from touring the park. The restaurant also offers World of Color and Frozen Live at the Hyperion dining packages, providing you with a reserved spot to the show following your meal.
- Steakhouse 55 at Disneyland Hotel
Heading outside of the parks now, we arrive at Steakhouse 55 in the Disneyland Resort. Within easy walking distance of the theme parks, the resorts at Disneyland make for a great place to cool down and enjoy a delicious meal. This restaurant offers an A La Carte breakfast and dinner menu, as well as offering an afternoon tea experience at weekends. Steakhouse 55 showcases old pictures of Walt Disney, in an elegant Old Hollywood atmosphere. Dinner is the main event here and we highly recommend splurging on the steaks. Our recommendation is the 8-ounce filet mignon or the 14-ounce New York strip steak, and adding the Steakhouse 55 butter tops off either of these dishes perfectly.
- Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Resort
Our final recommendation takes us over to the Grand Californian Resort. Even if you don’t dine here, you must take a walk around the stunning lobby of this resort during your trip! Napa Rose is a fine dining location, which offers both a Disney Princess breakfast and a regular dinner service, perfect for a date night or special occasion. Breakfast offers three-courses, with special activities and character interactions for the princess in your family. The atmosphere changes at dinner time to Wine Country cuisine, showcasing the story of Napa Valley and an extensive wine list. For main courses, we highly recommend trying the Filet Mignon, New York Steak or Oregano and Lemon Grilled Lamb Rack. This would be the perfect location to wrap up a trip to the Disneyland Resort!
We highly recommend you make an advanced dining reservation for any of the above listed restaurants. If you need any help planning your next Disneyland vacation, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
